UTG AccuShot Competition Shadow Ops Sniper Rifle
- caliber: 6mm
- velocity: 480.00 ft/sec
- Warranty: 30 Day Limited Warranty
- UTG Type 96 Spring Sniper
I bought this as my first airsoft rifle. I did not want to get fancy or expensive, but still wanted an accurate and reliable weapon. UTG makes good rifles, and other AEG's, but I cannot comment on that. This was both relatively within my budget and very good quality. I bought the rifle used with no upgrades, took it out of the box, slapped on a scope, and then went to town shooting just about every tree in my friend's backyard. I tell you, THIS GUN IS AWESOME, PURE AWESOME. After zeroing my scope, I was able to hit a standard plastic water bottle from about 25-30 yards every time. I unfortunately did not have more space to try a longer distance (sorry I know that 30 yards is not exactly sniping, but it looks promising). I took my friend about 30-40 shots with his AEG to hit the bottle ONCE. I am quite impressed with this gun. Although heavy, it comes with a bipod, two clips, a speedloader, a sling (got my own though), and a scope (depending on where you buy). I used my own scope and sling simply because of prefrence. Shoots at 450+ fps with 0.2g BB's, but I use 0.25g for much better accuracy. The hopup I turned off because at 30 yards the BB's actually curve up too much, but whatever. Overall, this gun impressed me greatly I recommend it for all beginning snipers. I could not ask for a better deal!
RWS .22 Pellet Model 54 Combo Rifle
- Recoilless floating action
- Maximum accuracy
- Adjustable open rear sight and adjustable blade front sight
- 11 mm scope rail
- 2-stage adjustable trigger
I bought a Model 54 in .177 caliber, and was amazed at the accuracy inside 40 meters. The fit and finish are an obvious given. Pick one up and you'll immediately see what I mean. The only air rifles I'd owned prior to this were Benjamins, Gamos, and Crossmans. Not bad, but no comparison to the RWS. The RWS feels a lot like my Kimber and Anschutz .22 rimfire rifles.
Unfortunately after about 4 years, the cocking lever broke. I contacted the RWS USA HQ to find out how much it would cost to replace the cocking arm, assuming I was out of warranty. To my pleasant surprise, they sent me a replacement arm assembly free of charge with a letter stating that they stand by their products for life. I have since purchased a new RWS in .22, and will buy more as new products are introduced. I know the price of an RWS is a little higher than some of the other popular air rifles, but when I can get a combination of quality and after sale support like I got from RWS, I'll stick with this winner regardless of the price.
Buy one. You will not be disappointed!
Crosman 764SB air rifle
I normally used airsoft guns to shoot targets and cans and i was getting upset at the horrible accuracy, so i wanted to get a more powerful and accurate gun, but on a $50 budget. I have had this gun for over a month and i really enjoy it. it is fairly powerful and can kill a small bird. i have not used the scope yet so i don't know much about that. it is a good size for me (i am 5'7), but just a tad small, because it is designed for smaller kids. it is very accurate, and i love that it shoots both bb's and pellets. the airpump is hard at first, but eventually you get used to it and develop some muscle so you can do it really fast. i only pump it about 5 to 6 times for a normal shot. the only bad thing is that the plastic on it feels cheap. This is the best gun for the money

I replaced a pump action pellet gun with this brake barrel version and there is no comparison. At 1000 fps, this rifle drills varmits. I dialed in the sights and this thing is now a tack driver. I'm using hollow point pellets and they have gone through everything I've shot so far. I wouldn't hesitate to use this on coyote size game. With one pump, this has more power than my old pump action having pumped it twenty times. This rifle definitely has some heft. It feels like a real rifle. At $100 from Amazon, this is a great value. I would expect to pay $3-400 for a rifle like this. The first few shots were really loud. After about 20 rounds, it is getting quieter. Good thing, I live in the burbs.
Gamo Silent Cat Air Rifle
- caliber: 0.177
- velocity: 1200.00 ft/sec
- Warranty: One year limited warranty
- Skeleton Stock & 4x32 scope!
This is the most powerful pellet gun I have ever shot, I've had it 2 1/2 weeks now and shot a crow at 150 yards, and a fox was trotting across the field with some crows harassing at about 75 yards and I gave a small lead ans whacked him. This is a dangerous gun. I've hunted all my life in the Louisiana Bayou's and I'd take this gun with me anywhere. I'm so accurate with The Silent Cat that I am hitting the sides of nickles, not the round part the side. I have some 4x4's sticking in the ground and they have natural slits in them so I stick nickles in them and I literally hit them right on the side and bend the nickle. Like I said, I don't sweat the small stuff, if anything goes wrong Gamo makes it good. I have no complaints, I'd really like to try my luck on a deer so I'm studying exactly where the vital organs are and sit in a blind and shoot me a deer. I also can't wait for the geese to come around after they cut the corn, I will lay down a few of them too......Thanks Fellas.....I hope this encourages you to go out and buy a Gamo from Amazon, it came shipped so perfect and professional and brand spanking new thanks Amazon
