This keyboard is amazing. I’m a gamer, so when I switched from my Logitech G15 I was obviously making a big change.

No more glowing keys, macro keys, customization software, built in gaming LCD. But none of that matters.

WHAT YOU GET:

The keyboard in a box. That’s it.

It comes with a ps/2 adapter for full n-key rollover. (This means you can press as many keys as you want simultaneously without ghosting of keys).

With USB, you’ll only get 6 which is unfortunately a limitation of USB.

It also has 2 usb ports on the side of the keyboard.

I bought this keyboard largely for the 12 macro keys that can be easily defined by the user. I work mostly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and also a lot of internet and email. I find the macro keys save me quite a bit of time. The software that comes with the keyboard is easy to install and very clear and easy to use. The touch and feel of the keys is excellent, as is the backlighting of the keys. I do not do any gaming but I see that other reviewers give this keyboard high marks for that also. Overall, this is another excellent Logitech product.

If you need a programmable, back-lit, mechanical keyboard, and are willing to pay the price, the K90 is a great purchase. The K90 is replacing my 6 year old Logitech G15 and is filling in nicely.

The F1-F12 /G1-G18 keys are not mechanical. I do not experience any issues with this while I am gaming. You should not let this sway you from purchasing this keyboard (as it almost swayed me) unless you fit in the OCD category.

The reason I am giving this keyboard a 4 star is the price tag. I see mechanical keyboards as being priced too high. The K90 is the closest to justifying the value due to the heavy duty aluminum build, the comfortable wrist pad, being back-lit, and the programmable keys. I feel Corsair picked better components than the other keyboards I previously considered.

I’ve had a nice amount of time with this keyboard now. It’s great! You can get ANY color you want to be lit on the keys. They keys are very quiet when typing. (They could be a little closer to the keyboard like a laptop but that’s just me; doesn’t matter that much). High quality product, just expensive. The screen is also great. You can watch youtube video’s by copying the link onto clipboard and the video will automatically start playing if you set it that way. It has an LCD clock but no digital clock. A Performance monitor that tracks your CPU performance (I wish it showed heat too). A countdown timer, Picture viewer, RSS Reader, and windows sideshow viewer.

Finally, a mechanical keyboard that is tenkeyless with a perfect size and layout. Most tenkeyless keyboards over the years have had weird layouts trying to be as small as possible, like the Poker and the Happy Hacking keyboards, and this makes those keyboards just not practical. This keyboard, along with an ALPS clone model from Ducky, will set the trend for tenkeyless keyboards that are laid out exactly the same as full-sized keyboards but simply with the tenkey pad sliced off.

Build quality is very good (made in Taiwan) and the keys are mounted solidly on a metal plate. It comes with a keycap remover and some extra keycaps. I’ve already spilled liquid into it and it still works fine thanks to the mounting plate.

I have to observations. After several months the keycaps are very shiny, much like what happens to laptop keyboards. Second, the rubberized coating on the bezel is probably not going to stay perfect for much longer–it should be a matte, plastic finish instead.

All space-saving keyboards should have this layout. Life is too short to learn a new layout. After several months.I’m still really happy working eight to eighteen hours per day on the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid.

I normally don’t take the time to write reviews on anything no matter how great the product is, but with how outstanding this keyboard really is and how inaccurate, i feel, Kirkpatric is with his review I am compelled to write a review.

First of all i have to say that this board is not cheaply constructed. It is very nicely made and very light weight which some may perceive as being cheap quality but to have the switchblade ui and still be really light i think shows a higher level of quality. And though he is correct about it not being the most rigid board, it seems irrelevant because the board would be on a desk and is more than solid enough to use on a lap.

As for saying that the lighting isn’t great because you cant change individual keys i feel is just being picky because the lighting is the most varied ive seen and there aren’t a lot of people who would even want that.

I admit the wrist rest really is a pain to clean but its a nice rest. And while the keys may not be the same as a fully mechanical board, they are perfectly good and tactically pleasant.

Its nothing against kirkpatric but i absolutely love this keyboard and will happily defend it as i feel any argument against it is misinformed or just being picky. This is my first razer product and with how fantastic it is i cant wait for my second one to be released, the razer Ouroboros!

This is a very nice keyboard. I do wish it had back lighting to it so it would be useful gaming in the dark. But I have fixed that problem by buying laptop lights and sticking on my keyboard shelf, as you can see in my other video reviews. Another thing that could be better is the price. $85 is a lot to pay for a keyboard but it is a gaming keyboard and I expect it to last at least a good 10 years, or at least till I find something better….

The keyboard is simply beautiful. I really like the green back-lit. It’s very cool and I’ve received many compliments from friends. The keyboard itself is solid and very comfortable to use. The keys are flexible but not filmsy. If you only use this for typing, it would be a waste. The keyboard is specifically designed for Call of Duty 3. There are many convenient keys that would help when playing the game. The price tag is still a little high. But overall, I think it’s worth the price you pay for.

Overall, this keyboard is great for gaming, but it has some quirks preventing it from being the best gaming keyboard. The black cherry switches are great for gaming, but some keyboards could have an issue where some keys don’t press down smoothly. When I received the keyboard, the ‘S’ key and several function keys were not smooth. Amazon’s return department took care of it though and sent me a replacement. The keyboard is sturdy, very durable, and has big rubber feet. It can definitely take a beating.

Another thing I didn’t like about the keyboard is the oversized enter key (which isn’t used all that much in gaming). Because of the enter key, the backslash key is moved to the left of the right shift key, making the shift key smaller. I would say this is the biggest flaw of this otherwise perfect keyboard. I would still recommend it for gamers, but it just takes a bit getting used to.
