My son wanted this skateboard from a store in town. It was over double the cost of this one. He was concerned that the wheels and the trucks(sp?) were not as good as the local store's model. When it arrived he was so excited to find that it was the exact same everything. He says it's a great skateboard for beginners and is much easier to learn on than the real cheap ones. We were really happy with this purchase.

We are very pleased with this board we purchased it over half a year ago and it has held up very well despite a little guys mistreatment and learning abuse. We purchased this board after looking into the other most important part of a skateboard the bearings and wheels. When you spin the wheels even after about half a years worth of riding they still spin for well over a minute compared to the brands at big box stores. As far as the tape and paint, they show the usual signs of wear, but again I feel it is holding up far better than others. What I like most about the board is that it is labeled simply with the Word "Positiv", and like our little guy said when he picked it out, "You have to think positive to learn new tricks and be a great skater."

Today I recieved my skateboard in the mail and it came on the earliest day. When i cut open the box i found almost an endless supply of paper for packing. When i toook the auctual skateboard right of the Bat i could see it had great grip tape. I took it out and went outside to try it out. First i loosened the trucks {i like mine pretty loose}then i started ollieing and it was amazing. I started going around my naborhood and found that it is not just a great board for tricks it also cruises great. I started going down some big hills and went pretty fast without it speed wobbling and it is great for carving. overall This is the best board i have had so far and i reccomend it to anybody frome beggenier to expert!

Well , I was so excited to see the board in the package on my stairs on the way back from school, i opened it up and it was wow, i loved the design. I tried it out and the trucks were a little too tight, but i loosened them up a bit and now their okay . but the board leans more to one side than the other. So i wouldn't say it's the best skateboard, but it's definitely a good starter board. Tricks are okay with this board , the most i could do was ollie, and i guess if you practice A LOT. then you'll manage to do the harder tricks with this board. Mostly meant for just cruising around on the streets. Has great speed since the wheels are smaller. But it's an okay board. If your looking for a good starter board while you save up for a pro skateboard this one's the one . Have fun!

If you are looking for a great starter board for a young girl, this one should definitely be on your list. My daughter just took up skateboarding and loves this board. It functions as good as it looks! The price is comparable to those cheap ones you see at the box stores, but this skateboard has better components by far (great trucks, and good wheels, and a great deck.).

For a beginner (and even intermediate skater) you want to have soft flexible trucks (The square component the wheels attach to) that will allow the rider to make easier turns. The ones in the box store are typically very hard making the ride uncomfortable and hard to maneuver. Even if you don't buy this one, do your skater a favor and do not buy a store bought prefab toy. Buy them the real deal, they will enjoy it more and be more apt to stay with it.

The board is surprisingly decent for the price. I got the gold striped one for about 30 and it looks pretty cool, the bearings are alright, the board doesn't have a lot of concave but I would highly recommend this for a beginner. I'm just getting back into skating after about 6 years and this is a very good board to help me get back into it, next board is definitely gunna be a custom though. This board is great quality for the price.

Bought this a few weeks ago. I'm a student at ASU and I needed a board that would get me around fast, especially with the crazy heat. This board does the job well. Of course, it came in kind of loose...like practically every other complete when you first get them. Nice wheels, solid deck, and classic feel make this an overall great board, especially for amateur skaters like myself. Not the most ideal for getting around in ease (that's my own fault for deciding to buy a skateboard instead of a longboard for cruising around), but a good buy if you want an affordable and well-made complete.

I've never bought a complete online prior to this one so I was optimistic. When I got the board in the mail, I was very surprised -- an excellent, immaculate Zoo York complete in just enough packaging to keep it safe. A little loosening of the trucks and *wahlah* my son is carving around the apartment complex. It looks great, rides great, and was priced just right.

Its a perfect beginner to mid level skateboard and I would buy it again in a heart beat. Do not waste time and money on a walmart skateboard. They are heavy and inferior in every aspect. Buy this mid level board for a little bit more and you will be happy until you need to build a custom board ($120+). Each item on this board can easily be transferred or upgraded when needed.
