Although it took a little getting used to, I have quickly become attached to my Chromebook. I use my Mac for hours every day for work, and of course it is my favorite. My Chromebook however, has quickly become my "anything but design or coding" computer. I've had no issue with the lack of native apps or programs, as I can quickly pop open Chrome Remote Desktop and have my Mac in full screen.

The keyboard is fantastic, and feels very familiar to anyone using a modern Apple keyboard. It's very thin, fast, light, and sturdy. The screen is not the best, but it is certainly not bad either.

For the price, this will be one of your most redeeming impulse buys ever.

I purchased this Macbook about a week ago, and I have to say that I'm genuinely satisfied. I come from the high-end Windows laptop user base; my previous laptop was a Dell XPS. I thought the transition would be difficult at best and would take some time to fully familiarize myself with the new Mac ecosystem. If you are considering switching from a Windows computer, do it. I have no regrets. OS X is simply amazing, and while there is a learning curve if you're coming from another OS, it's easy as pie to understand. Everything just works on a Mac. WIth the exception of some games- but with Boot Camp you can install Windows on any Mac. And this MacBook looks as good as it performs. Simple details, crafted aluminium and real glass make this laptop blow away the other plastic ridden, bulky sticker filled laptops. This computer exceeds my expectations in almost every category.

I bought my first acer when my daughter was stationed in Iraq, I got to see and text to her every night, the only down side was that I could not hear her, the speaker and microphone were in adequate, that was eight years ago, then I bought an acer for my other daughter so she could do the tax thing. I loved the acer because it had a special partition on the hard drive for backup, you do not know how much you need that until you have to go back to the store and buy an external hard drive to back up your computer like I had to do when I got my tosheba. which a I am about to replace with another acer. ps.....they are also much cheaper, I only do the utube, ebay, amazon, facebook, It does what I need it to do, also planning to change netflix from dvd to my computer.

It's light, it's durable, and, as Apple states, it's ready for anything. The MacBook Air is back for another generation and keeps a slender aluminum skeleton. It's sleek, dazzling, and fits just about anywhere. Typing in the dark isn't a problem with its stunning backlit keys and bright, energy-conserving screen. It's very light and "airy", specially considering the fact it's made of metal. It's convenient, has a long battery life, and is undeniably a minuteman underneath its glamorous shell.

Coming from Windows, I'll be honest and say that taking on a Mac was a daunting challenge. The interface was completely foreign to me, and I'd never so much as touched a Mac before. I knew absolutely nothing about it and yet, just on the first night, it became so easy to use. Mission Control and Launchpad are outstanding features that I wish my PC could have. It makes navigating so much more simple, and you can easily find what program you want when you want it. This computer obviously wanted to make a good impression, and that it did. I was no longer terrified of the glory that was Apple's MacIntosh, and I was so glad I gave it a chance.

This computer is perfect for anyone, really, especially the Windows fanatic that needs to be proved wrong at times. A MacBook Air is just as simple to use as your home PC and makes typing comfortable. MacBooks are built for the modern business world and aren't afraid to join hands with an unorganized owner. It never moves slowly in the morning and again, can be for anyone who's willing to give it a shot. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who knows how to take care of it.

This laptop has performed exactly as advertised. The only hitch was that I transferred my files and programs from my old computer wirelessly and then had trouble installing programs like Roxio Move Maker. I had to reset the computer to factory settings and then the installation went smoothly. Would caution anyone about transferring files wirelessly, especially from a computer that was not functioning well.

My first impressions of the vivobook after the unboxing is how the sleek the design is. The price suggests its a budget ultrabook but the build quality is impressive and has a premium look to it. Boot times were stupid fast compared to my i3 toshiba satellite. There's definitely a learning curve with windows 8, I was able to pick up some of the touchscreen gestures and I thought the downward swipe to close apps running in the background were pretty neat. There's a whole lot more to learn with win8 and im slowing getting on the Windows 8 train the more I experiment with it. The touchscreen features really set this ultrabook apart, its ultra responsive and thats saying alot considering Im a long time tablet user (ipad 2 and 3). Im having no wifi issues as documented by the previous reviewer and my trackpad works flawless. Overall I very satisfied with the purchase, its a keeper.

The only thing that I dislike about it is the auto enlarge, shrink on the mousepad. There might be a way to turn it off, I'm still breaking it in. It's light, the battery lasts forever, plenty of ports, quick speed, already installed with a bunch of things, I love it! Do plan on installing another 4 gigs of ram eventually but for right now I don't need it. Haven't tried the camera yet so can't vouch for that. I am very pleased with what I got for the price range I was in.

If you need a workhorse family computer, you can't beat this. We have a multi-person household and as the "IT Guy", its hard to keep everything in working order. The Chomebook eliminates this concern because everyone gets their own login and the machine is virtually indestructible. Zero maintenance, zero worry.

Those that compare this to a netbook don't really understand what a Chromebook is all about - especially when the vast majority of people ONLY need the internet. One guy got an attitude with me saying "Oh yeah, what happens when it doesn't have internet?" I said... "its useless". He said... "HAHA.. SEE!!!??" I then asked him what his wife would do on their computer if it didn't have internet... I enjoyed as the slow realization poured down his face 🙂

As for the new Chromebook, it solves the main complaint related to the previous model... its now FAST.

I bought this to replace my UX31E (bought in February 2012). That one was just fine until the screen began to bother me due to lack of contrast and the poor viewing angles. The X202E has a better screen, and a much better keyboard. It is thicker, and has a smaller screen with poorer resolution, but for a $500 laptop with touchscreen it is fine. I use it mainly for typing documents and reading on the internet. However, it even runs Civ5 with touchscreen. Not too bad.

My only problem (really) is the SLOOW charging. 1.75A charger. What the...? Even ipads have 2.1A chargers.

On the plus side, the battery life is good, averaging at 5 hours for light use.

One thing, though. I replaced the HDD with my Intel 310 (80gig) SSD. Much better now, although once booted, the HDD was just fine for my needs, too.

I purchase the Macbook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop about a week ago and the experience has been great. I was a little worry at first because I don't have a lot of experience with os.x and windows has always been second nature to me after many years of using windows. For anybody that feels like switching from windows to apple let me tell you that it took me a couple of days to get used to this operating system but now I love it. First of all, the trackpad on the Macbook Pro is easy to use and after you learn all the gestures to use the trackpad you will see that this is a great way to use you computer. The computer itself is very well built and the keyboard is great to type on for a long period of time. Lastly, bootcamp is one of the main reasons I switch to Macbook Pro because you can run window 7 or any windows operating system you want on your Macbook Pro.
