My TR3000i arrived last week, and is the most beautiful and rugged treadmill I've owned or used (at Gym). The construction, frame and console are very sturdy, with careful attention to every bit of detail. I had a few questions, and called Lifespan fitness. The sales and support teams were very helpful (compared to my earlier experience with Icon Fitness/Health Rider -- where support is pretty much non-existent!). In all, I am extremely satisfied with the Company and their product and strongly recommend their product. I exercise very regularly at a local gym, and at home when I cannot make it to the gym; I've used a lot of equipment and this treadmill is very good!

I suffered a heart attack back in May and used a treadmill during cardiac rehab. I love walking outside but winter weather in Cleveland often forces me inside. My wife and I decided to buy a treadmill and based on my research Precor was the leading choice. Debated over the 9.27 vs the 9.23 but ultimately chose the 9.27. I wanted the extended handles offered on this model and fact that it will monitor heart rate with the built in telemetry. You can also use the hand grips to monitor heart rate but using the included chest strap is more convenient and more accurate. I know $400 is a lot to pay for these features but well worth it. The machine is rock solid and exudes quality. No iPod docks or integrated fans are present but the display is clear and provides the info you need for a good workout. I look forward to coming home, firing up the treadmill and working up a good sweat. This thing will outlast me and I intend to be around for a long time. No regrets if you purchase this treadmill.

So far, so good. This thing weighs a ton. So you will probably need help getting it to the room where you plan on keeping it. It comes mostly complete, which is great, as I dread the words... Some assembly required.... But I was able to put it together very carefully in about an hour. A leading consumer rating magazine rated this very highly which gave me the confidence to pull the trigger. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of higher end machines, but I don't need those. I don't need a treadmill that will make my bed. I just want to get on it, and start running. It can go up to 12mph, which is plenty fast for me, it keeps track of my time and my distance. That's about all I need. Plus the cost if just right. It's not a cheapo machine, but it isn't through the roof either. I was comparing this machine and one that costs twice as much. So I figured, even if this machine doesn't last as long, I can still buy another one and come out no worse. Plus the machine will probably have upgrades by then. Two thumbs up.

With any sedentary similiar to mine, calorie burn rates are pretty low. Given that weight goes on easy and prevention of weight gain was almost impossible just by limiting calories for me. This desk has been the break through for this problem

TrekDesk has allowed me to walk at a rate of 2 mph for up to 3 to 5 hours a day when in my office and burn over a 1000 cals per day and log well over 20000 steps per day. It does not hamper work productivity.

On items that require a lot of heavy duty concentration, I have found that sitting might be better than trying to walk at my 2 mph rate ( I haven't been able to convince myself to walk at .5 mph where I might be able to concentrate more effectively). But checking email, regular mail, writing simple reports, performing basic office stuff, etc. the desk has not been a constraint. Phone calls are a easy as well.

The desk comes unassembled. If you're somewhat handy, assembly is not a problem. Some might need some help even though the instructions are good.

Overall it's a breakthrough item for me to overcome the health risks associated with my sedentary occupation.

I bought this treadmill for my parents as a Christmas gift after seeing so many great reviews on the older model. They are both overweight and use it daily for walking. My dad is a big and tall type so I was nervous that there wouldn't be enough leg room for his stride or that the machine would feel flimsy. Not to worry, this thing is stable and didn't make him feel like he would fall off the back end while exercising. My parents have had this machine since Christmas and love it. I'm a runner (3-5miles daily) and will definitely purchase this exact machine for myself once I move from my condo to my house in a few months.

As for the assembly, you need 2 people to put this thing together because it's a mammoth. No matter how strong you are, there are just certain parts of the assembly process that require teamwork. No way around it.

I have only had this treadmill for a day. So far it seems great. I was worried about knowing when it is time to oil the belt to keep it in good condition. The manual says that it gives you a reminder every 150 miles so you are sure to keep it in good condition by following the maintenance prompts. When it arrived the truck driver, with my husbands help dropped it just inside our door unlike others who had delivery people who left it in their desired location. I only mention this because it weighs 216 pounds while packaged and it is recommended that you put it together at the location you intend to keep it. We had to move it to the second floor so we opened the box and removed all of the other parts, extra cardboard and plywood that keep it from being damaged during shipping. We then closed the box back up and ratchet strapped it closed and my husband and I barely got it up the stairs. I have used it in manual mode and run/walk mode. The heart rate monitor seemed accurate. All in all I would purchase this model again. Will update if anything changes.

I've owned this Treadmill for a little over a month now and use it every day for 30 minutes of jogging/walking. Very solid, sturdy, and most importantly quiet under normal operation. The added fan and speakers are a nice plus, but I did find the fan to be a bit noisy. The fan seems to make a wiring sound when turned to the max but I got used to it after a while. Built in workout programs are nice too. I have yet to use the ifit so cannot comment much there, but i did connect my cell phone through the jack in the back of the console to play music while I work out. Assembly was not as hard as I thought. The motor and belt come pre-assembled so all it took was to add the pieces. The assembly looks intimidating initially but once you get started it was smooth sailing from there. Bought mines on Black Friday for $799 which is great, but even at $999 this machine is worth it. Highly recommended.

I am having Smooth 5.65 for about a year now and am very pleased with it. Before buying the treadmill, I researched for some time and narrowed down to two treadmills. After careful consideration, I ended up with buying Smooth 5.65. My wife liked the stylish look of Smooth. I thought that Smooth looked friendlier to have inside than the other one. We are not disappointed.

My wife and I are using the treadmill at least a couple of times a week ever since. We have not experienced any problem. I like the speed and incline control on the handle bars, which I found is really handy. Smooth is definitely quieter, but sturdier, than another treadmill we briefly had before purchasing Smooth. Contrary to our initial concerns, we like the sleek look of the treadmill.

The only minor problem we have is that the treadmill makes a little squeaking sound, especially when we run. It is not easy to find out the source of the sound. However, the noise is not very loud and sometimes disappears when we adjust the incline. I believe once I can figure out the source of the sound, it may disappear with an application of a little lube.

Overall, we are very pleased with Smooth 5.65 and still think it as one of the best treadmills in the price range.

I love this treadmill. It's the first treadmill that we bought and I'm glad we made the right decision to purchase this one. We live in a 1600 sq ft single story house where the treadmill is within 10-15 feet away from the first bedroom and it's QUIET! I can run up to 6.5 MPH and no one wakes up. The only downside is that there are quick speed buttons and quick incline buttons. The speed buttons go from 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. The incline buttons go from 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15. So if you want something in between, you have to press the Up or Down key multiple times.

No other complaints.

Review:

I purchased this treadmill since I had canceled my gym membership and it was too cold to walk much outdoors. I really do love it. I travel extensively and I use a lot of hotel treadmills and ones at gyms and this is just as good as any of them. Very stable and no slippage of the belt (yet.) I also purchased the mat (on wood floors) and the spray for the belt at the same time. My only complaint is the heart monitor. I don't think it is accurate. I know enough about using them at other locations to know just about what my heart rate usually is and it is MUCH lower on this readout. Since I seldom use that it is a small thing.

This weighs a bunch so be ready for help moving it to the room you need it in.

SO FAR, been using it religiously...hope that continues. Will post an update if I have any problems.
