For over 5 years I'd been using the Sonicare toothbrush thinking I was doing a great job on my teeth and gums. I've always had severe gum problems and have had many gum grafts. Until it dawned on me that I'm still having gum problems so I switched to a new Periodontist who informed me that the Sonicare was tearing up all my gum grafts that were done. He highly recommended the Oral B. So I switched and what a huge difference. It goes around the tooth which is what their instruments do at the dentist. After using it for a almost 3 months, I can see a huge difference! My gums and teeth feel clean but not all tore up. I can't wait to go back to the Periodontist and show him the difference in my whole mouth. The ORal B 5000 has a little digital clock that shows you when you're brushing too hard which has made a big difference in the way I brush and a 30 second timer to show you when to switch quadrants. I've always thought that really scrubbing my teeth was the way to go but not so! This brush shows you how to do it right. I'm excited about my new findings as I'm spent so much time, money and pain in improving my gums. I feel for the first time, I'm getting it right!

I have recently started using this toothbrush and so far I am very satisfied. My husband and I both see a real difference in the way our teeth look and feel. As far as peoples' complaints about the cost of the replacement heads - $10 buys a brush head that lasts for 6 months, while you have to replace regular toothbrushes every 3 months, and some of those cost $5 each, so it works out to about the same. The initial cost of the unit is high, but over the life of the product the benefits are well worth the cost.

I love this toothbrush. I have sensitive teeth and gums. This toothbrush is gentle on my gums and gets my teeth really white. I took a long time in deciding which toothbrush to buy and based on reviews I bought this one. I am very happy and recommended it to several people who also bought the toothbrush and are also very happy! I'm going to have my teeth cleaned in a couple of weeks and I'm expecting the hygenist to be pleased w/ my teeth.

Review:

One of these brush heads came with my Oral B 980TX power toothbrush. I liked it so much more than the regular FlexiSoft head that I immediately ordered the 3-pack.

The extra bristles with their side-to-side oscillation add more oomph to the Oral B's tingle-inducing cleaning action. I can feel it all the way to the base of each tooth. When I rinse, I see more loosened debris swirling down the drain. I finish my morning brushing with a hydrogen peroxide rinse, and, man oh man, does it get foamy, an indication of freshly cleaned dental and gum surfaces.

The price is already a bargain but with additional available discounts like Free Super Saver Shipping, it's a steal.

I've tried those drugstore battery operated toothbrushes for a couple of years, and they were fine, but I always felt like I was trying to cram those large brush heads in my mouth. It was REALLY hard to reach my back teeth. (I'm a medium sized woman, so not sure why those brush heads always seemed so big to me.) But this is a great toothbrush! The head is perfectly sized to get around all my teeth and all the way to the back of my mouth with no problems. The stick part is slim too, so I don't feel like I'm cramming in something too big. I love the 30 second quadrant timer (although you really have to pay attention for the pause or you'll miss it). It is also completely waterproof, as I use mine in the shower (not sure if you're supposed to do that but I do with no problems so far). And it has some serious power to clean! I notice after about a weeks use it seems a little slower, still more than sufficient to brush, and I recharge weekly. I really like it.

The power handle performs perfectly, and the price and minimal delivery time were awesome. The power handle holds a charge for 18 days of twice-a-day brushing at its high speed setting, and works fine with my existing charger. I'd have spent 3 times as much to buy a new set of handle plus charger. This power handle lets me go untethered for 2 weeks' travel at a time, which covers nearly all my interstate travel and most of my international travel. Pack it top end into a plastic tube rain gauge and your handle won't lose charge by being activated by rough baggage handling.

This Tooth brush system is amazing. I have always wanted one and made the decision to finally get it. I know you think this is a pricy for a tooth brush, but well worth the investment,This is not just a tooth brush this is a overall health care system for your mouth. the first week I used it, I was too ruff so my gums were a little sore. So I waited a few day than started using it again. It feels so good on my teeth and gums and tickles at first but you get used to it. My teeth are so smooth and brighter and the clean feeling last a long time thru the day. I get so many complements on my smile. I tell them I use the Sonic Care system along with Crest Pro-Health 3D White tooth paste. Bling!!! Keep Smiling everyone

I'm trying to find words for this toothbrush, but "amazing" and "more than I thought possible" seem like they won't do it. This is the best toothbrush I have ever had. I know that sounds weird - after all, it is just a toothbrush. But it cleans in a way that I have never seen a toothbrush do before. It also is incredibly well thought out. The brush heads have wear indicators on them so you know when to replace them. It charges in the glass, so the handle stays clean and you can stick the glass in the dishwasher. The battery lasts, well, not quite forever, but nearly. The travel case protects the toothbrush and charges straight from a USB port on your computer so, if you have a trip that lasts longer than 2-3 weeks (the battery life) you can just hook it up to the computer with the same cable you use to download pictures from your camera to charge it.

I had the latest model which is the DiamondClean and I was disappointed by the design flaws and the fact that it started making weird noises when I would brush my teeth. But this toothbrush was cheaper, it cleans the same as the DiamondClean, it has a select button and the replacement heads are cheaper too. I also suggest going with the Professional Model since is more durable then the regular one minus the waterpik power flosser since it doesn't clean as well as a good old dental floss.

Review:

This is the very first electric toothbrush that I've tried, I have always been hesitant to use one thinking that it wouldn't be as effective as a regular toothbrush. My doubts have now been eased: this electric toothbrush works beautifully. It cleans between teeth with relative ease, removing plaque and other bad things without the strenuous effort that is necessary when using a regular toothbrush. It also massages the gums as it cleans, making them feel better as well as refreshed by removing the gum soreness I'm occasionally prone to suffering from. I found this toothbrush easy to charge, easy to use and easy to store between uses. All-in-all a superb product that I can strongly recommend. I don't think I'll go back to using a regular toothbrush after using this. Well done Waterpik!
